Feb 6
the Write Place Presents:
Karen Lacey: Hearts and Bones

8:00pm
in concert at the Harwelden Mansion
Yes, I did steal the title from a Paul Simon song, but he doesn't own those words, does he? I think not. Besides it really suits the show I want to do. This one is going to have material from Meet Hot Local Singles but is a little more serious.

Bring your special someone or come alone as Living Arts Performances puts on the Valentine of Love and Hate" Featured performers for the month are Josh Massad and his rare drum stylings as well as Michael Levell's unique poetry "outbursts". The theme is the "love/hate relationship we all have with this time of year. There will be 2 Open Mic sections of the evening: one for the lovers and one for the haters of the season.

So, come to perform or observe, cuddle or puke, pour out or yell. All are welcome to the celebration (or condemnation). There will be a special Valentines Creation Workshop where people can create their own special Valentine.

Buy Books! Buy CDs! This guy is on the road living off of the support of people like us. He was here in Tulsa to launch these open mic events at the Transit Bar, and to those who missed him...well, all I can say is that you have a chance to make it up to yourself by coming out this time to check him out. He's great.
